Hello there readers, my name is Sarah and this is my very first blog post.

My aim with this blog is to update regularly, talking about pieces I’m working on, exhibitions I’ve seen, research trips I’ve been on or anything else which is mildly relevant to my career and life as an artist.

I’d like to keep it fairly informal, I think it’ll be an interesting resource to look back on in years to come, and also I’d like to think it would be interesting to folk who have a passing interest in art, or are nosey like me and what to know what artists do with their time.

This week is Perthshire Open Studios and my second day is drawing to a close. I’m not to perturbed by the quietness as I’ve always found the first weekend of Open Studios to be slow. I would obviously like it to pick up! But I’ve got so much work done today ( Etsy, Twitter, and Website ) that I don’t mind too much. Covering my entry cost would be nice, but as long as it’s a positive experience for those people who visit me then I’m not too fussed. Maybe they will recommend me to some rich collectors ;)

I’ll stop for now- I’ve taken Tuesday and Wednesday off to visit other Perthshire Artists’ studios, hopefully network a wee bit, and maybe discover some hidden gems :)

Cheers for reading! Hope I didn’t bore you. Please do visit again when I have something tangible to say :)

Here are a couple wee piece I made for POS, based on my visit to Coigach woods while the sun was setting.

They’re 17.5cm x 15.5cm (including frame) hang off wee D-rings and are £80 each
